For open, jack up one tire, spin wheel 2X and count pinion/driveshaft rotations.
If locked or LS, jack up both tires, spin wheels 1X (both wheels will spin together) and count pinion/driveshaft rotations.
Ratio refers to # of rotations of drive : 1 revolution of wheel.
ie: if you rotate the wheel once and the driveshaft rotates 4.1 times, your ratio is 4.10:1
