So I am planning on getting a lift, tires, and wheels this summer. i really love the look of big rig trucks and want to apply that look to my truck. I know i can get Alcoa wheels with the adapters but that route is just so expensive. Plus i only have a SRW truck. After a little researching I stubbled across the Micky Thompson Classic Big Rigs. Was wondering if anyone had them. I really want black wheels and they only come in chrome. Probably would just powercoat them. Should i go this route or just stick to regular wheels? Also any pics of big rig wheels would help my decision.
Picture of my truck now. Since i have stacks I want the big rig wheels to complete the look
At first I thought those were good looking until I seen there 20".
So your gonna spend a ton of money to have ten fake lug nuts and still have to run Lt tires?
If you want a "Big rig" look and actually gain the advantages of medium duty tires go with something like this. Rickson Wheel Manufacturing
I seriously pissed myself laughing when I saw a guy with a pair of those stupid stacks coming out of his bed drive into a parking garage that was tall enough for his truck but not for the stacks. ROTFLMAO
When I had a stack if it was misting or rainin you would get black specks on your shoulder sitting in the driver seat. Stacks were cool until everyone started gettin them
i did not want to make my truck look like a big rig in every asspect. I have seen people go over board on the big rig look. Not my style. Just the wheels and the stacks is what i was refering to as a big rig look. But after some thought I am not getting those wheels. Gonna get the Fuel Revolvers.
and just recently put a grille on it. next is defentily a lift, wheels, and tires
But thanks for all the bashing. I am sure I dont like everything you guys done to your truck either. But to each their own... I happen to love my stacks
yeah thanks. But the reason behind that is because my left side fenders are dented from an accident and got the fender flares to cover the damage. I also said I am lifting the truck so when i get larger tires the fenders will cover the tires sticking out further than stock. I dont see why everyone on this fourm is so negitive towards others. didn't your mothers teach you if you dont have anything nice to say to keep your mouth shut? seems like you all are a bunch of high schoolers on here...
Naw just a bunch of guys that know what "ugly as fuk" looks like. But keep it up got to have trucks to laugh at as well. And if think I care about your hurt feelins you are badly mistaken
I doubt it, stacks are just a love it or hate it kind of thing. And the people who hate them tend to really get their panties in a bunch whenever they see them
FYI, if you REALLY want to make ur pickup look like a "big rig" start by pulling all of the tuner stuff off of it.... How many semis do you see with ricey aftermarket lights n grills, black cab lights
Oversize wheels don't make a pickup look like a semi either... everything needs to be "function first" and size appropriate. A lift kit, an F-650 hood, drop bumper, and dually rear fenders some saddle tanks n battery boxes and you'll be the envy of every kid in town.
i blame social networks on the influx of retards on the forums. everyday on twitter or instagram theres a new kid with a 1000 horse 7.3 or 6.0.
