Just installed my trp bars they sure did tighten up my shifts, look great def a well put together kit and there priced right compared to the others of lesser quality, i havent seen any superduty installs he sells a lot for the duramax, figured i would share another option for those who dont know of these..
once they are set properly you are done with them other than checking the lock nuts on the Heims if equipped every once in a while since they like to back off due to the twisting motion
Where can I find more info about these bars.
From the pictures the OP posted, I'm not seeing how they function.
I see the bar is attached to a point directly infront of the axle, with no lever/arm to control axle wrap.
Am I missing something?
I like to see a little more drop also on a single bar as it helps the bar stop rotational movement by increasing the distance the arm travels vs the bottom of the axle tube
If I see it correctly, this reaction bar would be under TENSION at all times, with serious TENSION during hard launches.
All of the other bars that have a lever arm, put the reaction bar in compression to control torque.
Am I seeing this correctly?
But who is 'trp'? I can't find anything about them.
Before i installed these my truck had harsh shifts and a sloppy feel after installing the truck feels tight theres no comparison so far nothing has moved my truck isnt stock so they have been tested as far as a tack bead of weld i thaught about it but then i thaught about grinding that nice finish off lol cant move. Much beings its attached to the frame as well.......?
I tow 15,000 5th wheel and have air bags along with my PMF tracbars, installed them level and when trailer is hooked up just add air to level out..PERFECT!!
