hey guys have been dealing with the colder weather lately and been leaving the truck on high idle in the mornings. on my 7.3 i had the block heater and was wondering if the 6.0 had the option for a block heater or not? truck right now doesnt have one and so far havent found any info about it being on the 6.0. any info would be great... maybe even a part number?
Kind of a crappy picture but, if crawl under the truck behind the front axle on the passenger side and look up under the exhaust manifold you should see the plug in the block
I hear powerstrokeshop.com has it for cheap, but I can never figure out their site, might be able to email/call them. Also hear napa has the cord too for pretty cheap. Dealer quoted me bought $80 for it and with a discount to $60 still pricey it seems for just a cord. Also as said above I believe ebay has them.
powerstrokeshop sells them for about $10, it's how I got mine. How cold can it get in texas? I don't plug mine in until maybe 10F or so
