I have a lift hanger on my truck right now. I may be wrong about the term. It is the bracket that attaches the front of my front leaf springs to the frame. I want to remove it and replace it with a stock one to have the truck sit a little more level. Can someone make sure I have the terminology correct and also help me find a good place to order a set?
It'd proly be best to find some one on here with a old factory set, i just did some deal swappin with my old 3.5" hangers so i no some folks got some layin round. If not theres always junk yards an pull-a-part places to check.
Hangers in the front, shackles in the back. Make sure when you replace the hangers that you also have the correct pitman arm and track bar. You'll also need to have the correct block size in the rear to ensure the pitch of the truck is right.
I'm picking up a set today. Throwing them on tonight. My pitman arm should actually be correct now that these are removed. The arm that was installed looks as though it is meant for an 8" lift. The angle is extrememly severe. The track bar should be fine with some adjustment. I appreciate the help.
