I have a Y2K F250 4 door 4x4 with anti lock. I just recently replaced both front calipers because the pass side was going bad. Now a couple months down the road I noticed a burning rubber smell and found that the boots around the caliper pistons was actually burning up (not melting). The calipers are Ford calipers. So now what? What would be the causing of both front brakes to drag enough to get that hot. I don't notice any drag or pull going down the road and it doesn't seem t be every time I drive. The first instance was a week ago and then again today on my way to work but not on the way home. There is no evidence that the rear brakes are dragging. Anyone else had this happen? I would like to get opinions before I dump a bunch of cash at stuff I may not need. Thanks
