I am ready. But I live in GA. I'll get 3.5 weeks of winter this year. 2.5 around Christmas in Buffalo and another week in the Adirondacks snowmobiling in Feb. The truck is almost ready. Just need to test the glow plug system. I also need to put the "Let it Snow" sticker on the truck. That Fisher Extreme is a huge plow.
I am stuck out in Cali for another 2 winters. Then back home to mke to big bucks plowing. Look at my picture on top. That was last winter when I was out here and my truck was at home. Stacking it up. 16 inches of snow in about 20 hours. My dad was plowing with it and his other truck going to.
Still have a few things to do to my Boss 9'2" Power-V XT. Mainly wrap the hoses, loom the wires coming off of the plow itself and spray a bunch of fluid film on the plow, shocks, stabilizers, etc..
Oh yeah, and aim the plow lights......and get gauges (debating between 4 and 8).....and strobes. Damn
I have had my underbody undercoated by a place in the burbs of Chicago called Z-Tech or what use to be known as Ziebart. Stuff is awesome. It is sprayed on so thick and is very reasonable. 150 bucks to have my truck underbody pressure washed and re sprayed.
I'm still waiting on the light kit to come in, install the plow controls, install the angle cylinders and add hoses/fittings to them. Then I need to get my reverse lights/strobe wired up.
So close yet so far!! I need to get pics still too
Have the plows on the atv's set up. Have the skid loader and trailer ready to go out and make money for when people are to lazy to go out and snowblow.
Basically all last week we spent gettin gready. Put new oil in our skid loader and mini ex. Made sure both generators were running, filled them up and added fuel stableizer. We are basically ready anything.
As long as the branch doesn't slide up over the blade and through the grille.
Had that happen last year during a heavy snow where I couldn't see the downed branch under the snow. It wasn't really big, maybe 2-3" diameter, but put a hole in the grille and took out the A/C.
My dad's Blizzard 810 on my truck. I used it last year. The plow truck I use for work is a early 99 PSD with a 9'2" boos v-plow and 8 foot rear blade. I HATE BOSS PLOWS! Blizzard 810 FTW!

Those Blizzards are sweet! I personally run an 8' Fisher Minute Mount straight blade, and it does a fine job for my needs. The more it snows this winter, the faster my truck will be this spring and summer.
I googled the name and they were one of the first to come up.
Not sure if you can get it cheaper elsewhere or not. Ordered up a creeper while I was there, LOL
That seems about the right price for a 50' roll. Hope it goes well, like i said it's a pain wrapping hoses and dealing with 50 extra feet of tape, but to do it in one shot or a few as possible I think it's worth it.
