OK guys I am posting this up to test the waters! I want enough time to plan something decent and have a good time, but I also have a busy schedule as I am sure most of you all do as well.
I am thinking that we should plan a Meet and Greet between the Eaton Indoor Pull in March and TS in Bowling Green Ky, at the end of April first part of May. That should give me time to get my POS put back together and give us some time to come up with something creative to do.
There is a possible date range. Now what would everyone like to do? Go to Quaker Steak and Lube and eat, drink (please have a DD), and be merry? Dave and Buster's? Some good home cooked food at the Der Dutchman? (No beverages ) Does someone have a shop that we could do a mod day perhaps? My shop is not currently suited to such an event.......
Lets here some ideas and discuss. Given the time line we have some time to figure it out. (And I have time to get my junk together so I can relax a little!)
That sounds good to me. I think we should try to get a sled rented for some test and tuning. Anyone know a sled owner we could get a reasonable deal on?
Depending on location I'd be down...I'd love to get together and meet a few of you guys in person and have fun.
I might be able to get a contact, but I'm not sure weather he's gonna have his sled running this season or not yet. Also, someone would have to be able to get a track rented for it...
Don't get me wrong guys some sled yanking test and tune would be great, but thats some coin to make it worth while, and track prep at that time of year sucks! Thats why there are no pulls going on.....
by that time of year National trail should be open for atleast test-n-tune. that would let those who want run down the track do so and those who don't can shoot the sh*t. this would give us lots of room to park and look over trucks. we could grill out and have fun.
haha I will try not to. I have just known a few that haven't had good luck with there 03 and 04 6 blows i mean 6oh's but I do like the 05 and ups. haven't really had anyone complain to much about them :ford:
I thought that looked like CP dorms in your avator! there are a few of us that finished up there 1-2 years ago, and I've got a few friends down there now. I may be down that way in a few weeks, I'll let ya know if I do and we can meet up.
And Jason, if you're gonna bring that Dmax, I want a ride!
If badmouthing 6.0s excludes an individual from going to this, then I guess I am out oke:
Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems to me that most of the people responding are from Western Ohio/ Eastern Indiana. Perhaps we need a location kinda "central" to those people. National Trails Test and Tune does sound like a kick ass idea though..... You guys will forgive me if I don't show up in a Ford.....
well heck HotRod, mingo is 10 minutes away from middleburg you still should have at your shop. i work with charlie, so have him to bring his blue cummins for some hookin :swordfight:.
but yeah id say quacker steak and lube would be great.
Doubt Charlie would hook chains with the Ford..... I made the comment to chain em up when I read his windshield the first time...."Powerstroke Recovery Unit"...... first time I've ever seen a recovery unit afraid to do its "job"...... oke:
too all the 6.0 haters if you feel the need I will be more than willing to have my strap with me if ya wanna hook that 7.3 on the ass of me!!! LOL all in good fun boys heres a few vids and pics for your enjoyment on my page...
