Went to the track last night and today. Absolutely could NOT get the truck to launch. Only made one pass last night (it was really crowded and I wanted to watch the UFC). Iirc it was a 15 something at 97. Completely blew all 4 tires away.
Today, got there a little late and had to go straight to the staging lanes. Didn't get to air down the tires or anything. Ran a 15.1? @ 96. Had to completely let off a little past the 60' to regain traction. Still beat a late model Mustang though. Apparently he was a horrible driver, lol.
2nd time trial I took off a little better (not much though, 1.91 60') but had to let off a little before the 1/8 'cause the guy in the other lane got real squirley and about came in my lane. 15.7 @ 55 LOL
Eliminations come up so I have no times really to go by. I just decided to dial in a 13.69. Have the guy covered enough to hit the brakes pretty good but still broke out. 13.49 @ 95. Best it's launched so far but I know it can still get better. It was a 1.80 sixty foot launching @ 1800rpm. 30psi front, 20psi rear. Front limiters.
Probably gonna go again Wednesday to see if I can't get a 13.3 out of it. I think these cheap crappy tires are a good bit of the problem so I'm gonna look into getting some Toyo Proxies for it. Apparently launching anything over 1800 on these tires is a no-no. This track isn't really all that great traction-wise either so I'm gonna try the track at Hattiesburg probably Sunday. It's supposed to hook-up pretty good.
Sounds like an exciting day. Kind of scary when you look into the other lane and see that guy coming your way. Sound like the new build is starting off good. Just need to get that traction thing under control.
I was wondering what you ment by 30 PSI front and 20 PSI rear. Are you measuring boost in two different areas? Just intrested. Can't wait to see what this truck has to offer compared to ole' orange.

Front limiters work great. You can forget about launching the truck without them. Tried the rear clamps and still had some rear hop, although not QUITE as bad.

if i was you i would just wait to get the new rims at the same time. i allready made the mistake of buying a new set of tires for stock rims then got aftermarket oes shortly after:doh:
Yup, 13.49 on the brakes. Supercab, short-bed, 4x4, auto, XLT. Weighed it at a CAT scale and it was 7100lbs with me in it iirc. Since then I removed the drop in bed-liner, running boards, rear seat, and tailgate. I figure it's about 6800ish now with me in it.
Diamond Eye 4" turbo back straight pipe, AFE XP dry intake, and SCT SF3 tuner with Innovative's Xtreme Race program. Oh yeah, and the zoo-dad mod. Bone stock other than that.
If I can get it to let me launch at higher than 1800rpms I'm pretty confident it'll do 13.3's, maybe even 13.2's if I work with it. Just need new tires.
No, I launched it a lot more conservitavely for one (1800rpms instead of 2200rpms) and I also had the right lane for the first time. I'm almost wondering if there wasn't something that was getting on my tires in that left lane.
thats awesoem times. It seems the 03 and 04 run a little faster times. Thats the same time that evan 03f250 ran before he ran nitrous. he now runs 12.3. Good job man
There is a guy on here (Power Stroke) from NH who has nearly the same truck only an 05 its even all white too. He was running pretty consistant 13.9's with pretty much all the basic bolt ons I believe. He now has some drugs and I guess has so far a best of 12.686@105.83 Not sure what size jet he is running but still pretty impressive.
Looking forward to see what comes next for your truck. I know I would be happy with mine if I could just get it to break into the 13's lol.
I can tell you the 05's seem heavier my CCSB is 7600 I think that was w/o me(been awhile since I weighed it) and w/ a coil sping frontend its hell to get a good launch!!
