With the buzz test, I get buzzing on all 8 plus one buzz to start the test and then I get the following codes:
P0113
P0475
P0541
For the contribution test it just says "unable to comlete test". The engine oil was 160 and outside air was 58 degrees. I am not sure if it has anything to do with oil temps or not.
The truck is running fine, I just finally got around to trying the tests with the scangauge.
I get the opposite. I cant do a buzz test but i can do a contribution test. The 0541 is for the AIH. The 0475 is for the EBPV. The 0113 is also for the AIH. They'll show up if you've deleted the AIH.
You are not the first. I really need to get around to trying mine to see if it works. Last thread I saw on this Joey suggested the Scan gauge owner contact who ever at Aeroforce. You might try a search to find that thread. I will look also. At least it will give you the name of the guy Joey said to talk to.
I have used the guage with great results on superduty, and OBS trucks....
Make sure all accesories are off, and do not touch anything when it is running......some trucks do not sound like anything is going on but it is.....
The Buzz test will only work with the truck not running, and con. with it running....and on superduties they are real finnicky about being warm on the oil. Run the piss out of it before running the test.
Not to hi-jack so feel free to pm me your answer. Is your coolant temp way off? Or does it do a typical climb to 236 or 237, drop, then climb to about 208? If the OP is interested in this answer say so then Wacker can post it in the open without hi-jack.
I emailed scangauge yesterday. They have been really good with returning emails, so I imagine I will hear soon. I will check my coolant temps. I had a problem with the annunciator lights going off for no apparent reason and they fixed that with no problem. I really like the gauge, hopefully they can get the tests to work. I have AE so it is not the end of the world. The annunciator lights were a much larger concern for me.
Yep, I am interested in the coolant temp issue. My coolant temp was indeed 237 today and then instantly fell to 176 and then back to 237 and then back to 176 and settled in at 190 ish. My isspro gauge showed 130 when the scangauge showed 237. So, I am taking a guess here, but I do not think it is accurate for coolant temp.
