I put a 6" pro comp stage 1 susp lift of my 2008 king ranch and I have 37x13.5 and it seams like I don't have power steering any more. This is my first Powerstroke and first lift is this normal? What should I check? How can I fix this? Thank you for your help!
with bigger tires like that it will be noticeably harder to turn the tires especially sitting still. As far as a fix most likely will have to live with it
Jst put a little roll into it and tires will turn easier. A lot of it also comes down to the angle on the drag link. My 10 lift only had a dropped pitman arm and now at a 12" lift that utilizes some steering linkage to align the drag link to the proper angle along with the dropped pitman arm it's easier turning my 40s now than when I had 38s or the 40s under both 8" and 10" lifts
I had the same problem with my '06 with 37's. I raised the air pressure in the tires to 55 psi (tire shop had put them at 38 psi) and it helped quite a bit. Not perfect but much better. Ride is a little worse but it's tolerable.
Thank you for the advise I had the local Tire shop raise the pressure to 55 psi and you're absolutely right it does help a lot! The only time it really bothers me is when somebody in the Geo Metro Parks too close to me And I and up having to make a 15 point turn! I swear one of these days I'm going to use my Ranch Hand full replacement front bumper to just push one of the other cars the way.
