alot of guys won't pull the turbo...this is a PITA no matter how you do it...here's a pic with your target circled..

pull out the degas bottle, intake to turbo, and FICM from the DS valve cover..get the pigtail off the sensor...might need a pick or small screwdriver to get it off...look carefully at the connector when it's off...if there's oil in it, you may need to replace it..at the least, spray it with contact cleaner..the pigtail is available seperately..

get a 3/8" drive, 1 1/16" deep socket and cut it down so that it's only about 2 3/4" long...wiggle that in there and 100 short strokes later it'll be out...put a little oil on the new sensor o-ring and turn it in...re-connect the pigtail and replace the other removed componants...

STOP go from under the truck, remove the heat shield on the drivers side. 3bolts, then you can get at the icp, usually the connector is soaked with oil so you will want to replace that also. Takes a 1 1/16 wrench cut to fit. Not too bad to do from under the truck, beats pullling all the above mentioned components.

may be a bad wire(DB/LG,BN/WH,GY,RD)...start tracing the harness from the sensor looking for any signs of wear...the harness sits atop some of the intake manifold bolts and it will get worn through...use a bright light...sometimes the wear is hard to see..

here's a pic of the typical wear location....

the ICP eventually terminates into the PCM at C(center PCM connector), pin 29..

could also be mechanical and there's a problem with your HPO system..

BTW:good job on changing the sensor...lose much blood?
