I have a 2001 f250 4x4 with only 90ooo miles on it I have been stumped ever since I bought the truck it has been making a weird like rubbing sound when I turn left or hit a bump need help
No it's not the tires and also I've looked at everything in my front end looks tight but I'm going to check again it's weird it also does it sometimes when I'm at a idle
Then I would check pulleys and belt. Power steering pump? Does power steering have PS fluid or Trans fluid in it? These use trans fluid. Just more ideas.
Just a note. One things that can really help diagnosing front end issues is jacking the truck up by the axle and suspending it there with jack stands and then test everything with a pry bar and doing lock to lock testing. Taking the weight off makes it a little easier to test many issues.
If it is a front end thump, could be worn out sway bar end links. My dad's truck had a thumping problem, we replaced the links and it fixed it.
