A BUDDY OF MINE JUST BOUGHT A LIFT F350 6.0 AND IS HAVING STEERING ISSUES.
The power steering pump went out on it right after he bought it and the car lot put a new one on it and it lasted about a week.

The truck has 38x15.50x20 inch tires on it.

What could be going on with this truck?
Does anyone have bigger power steering pumps or gearboxes on these truck?

The original pump may have failed and put a lot of debris in the system, and it may have killed the replacement pump.

If this is the case then clean out the resivoir and flush the system with a filter on the return side once or twice. Ford sells a plastic in line filter that will probably work.

It may be worth a shot to try. The big tires are unlikley to kill the pump. Unless the steering power is weak id stay away the ram assist setup.
