I have an 02 F-350 4x4 SRW. I bought it from a private dealer and the guy said it had a leveling kit on it but I can't seem to find anything that looks aftermarket that would make it level. It def looks like it lifted a little bit in the front. What could possibly be used for this? It has 4 leafs in the front packs i'm not sure how many it comes with stock.
I know my truck had two leafs stock. I dont know if any trucks ever had three leafs or not, but I seriously dout any ever had four leafs in a pack. Probably has a full aftermarket leaf pack.
Being that it is a 350, if it sits level, its got a leveling kit on it.
ok thanks for the insight. I think i'm going to measure from the ground to the top of the fender wells front and back that will probably give me a better idea. Sometimes it looks level and sometimes it looks like it has a bit of a rake depending on where i'm at.
A while back I talked to a guy that put the leaf spring shackle kit all the way around on his f250 to lift the truck like 3 in? Has anyone heard of this? From what I have read it is only meant to be used at one end of the truck.
There are shackle kits that can be used to lift the front of the truck up to 4.5 inches over stock. Only OUO offers a shackle kit for the rear off the truck, but it isnt very common. Most go with leafs or blocks along with other combinations. Check out Icon vehicle dynamics for the front shackle kits.
Depends on what level of ride quality is acceptable to you. From my experience and talking to others, there is no better riding spring for the front of a leaf sprung superduty than the factory ford springs.
