I am thinking about ading air bags to my 2012 .even with the camper and tow packages my trailer still squats the truck 3-4 inches. i love the ride of my new truck .will adding bag make it ride stiffer when empty??
( i hope not) and whos kit instills without drilling?
I think you'll need inboard bags with the overload springs you have ?
look at the application charts for airlift and riderite they will have a no drill symbol next to those if applicable
the minimum psi the bags should have is 5 psi and I can't tell any ride difference in any truck I have had them on
when they are that low as a mater of fact with a little more PSI I have felt a smoother ride because the bag starts to act as the spring instead of the Leaf
I went with the sumo springs instead of the air bags.
Without a load its like they're not even there. With my 12k gooseneck truck doesn't squat hardly any and has a very smooth ride.
Installed and painted.

I to am going to install airlift system. I am tired of being bright flashed evertime I hook up a trailer. My previous trucks all had them. No ride difference when deflated.
I love my Air Lift bags. If you are going to do air, my suggestion is to control them from the cab. It's way easier and allows adjustment while driving. This is my 4th truck to have bags.
I put a set of the Firestone airbags with compressor and controls in the cab on my 2012 F250. I hauled hay last week and the combined weight of my trailer and the hay was about 24klbs but you could hardly tell i had a load hooked up. No bucking, bouncing, or swaying while going 65mph+ down the highway.
