I have a 2003 ccsb fx4 with leaf springs all around. What is the safest and best leveling kit? I've heard bad things about the leaf packs and add a leaf kits. Any info appreciated.
I was in same boat. I have a set of stock leafs with a leveling kit.
I wanted new springs, but may go with a set of new drop front spring hangers and extended shackles.
I have the pro comp 21/2 leveling kit, you have to change the leaf springs altogether, it wasn't the easiest job but it wasn't super hard either, took my dad and I a weekend to take the front end apart and put everything back together
Depending on the amount of lift you want the best riding kits will be either hanger kits or a mini spring pack..limited to 2.5"
Hangers for a level kit 2-3"
Mini spring packs can reuse stock length shocks, hangers need longer.
Both kits require a adj track bar to recenter your axle.
its served me well and rides better than stock. Go ahead and get bilstien or fox shocks no matter what kit you go with.
My zone shocks have lasted less than a year and it rides like crap now that the shocks are busted.
Also with their kit on a f-250 the front of my truck is 1.5" higher than the rear... CALI lean. I have a 4" block for outback but just never put it on.
