Should I turn off the traction control if I'm going to race someone. I heard you have more power with it turned off. If anyone know anything I can do to have more power without voiding warranty I would like to hear.
Thanks
why would you even bring up a duramax on a powerstroke forum moron, dura####s are garbage see plenty of those towed in our shop , sorry i was a little off chill kimosabe, 6.7 dyno yesterday at the shop, 400+ hp at 2,800 rpm, torque 800 1,600 rpm, no mods no nothing, greatest diesel engine ever made, why do you think the military is putting it in the vehicle thats replacing the great humvee
Ya because the military is known for using the best of the best in everything they have, WTF? Not trying to downplay the new motor, I dont know anything about it, but the military likes words like "cheap" and "mass produced", and have you heard about the budget cuts they are doing now?
Well greatest engine ever made? Debateable and come it replacing the 6.5 yea I got a lonely 6.2 but it pushin less than 5k not 8+k so really any engine could replace it and honestly Why dont they use a cummins? It proven inline 6 u cant argue it a good engine design

Case in point.....the fleet of International MaxxForce 13 powered 7600's they bought. We all see how International is doing with those trucks and engines.
And yes, I am an International heavy truck owner.
There seems to be a common theme here......awesome trucks, very nice features, but some people need to stay out of the engine making business.
The new Superduties are by FAR the nicest truck out there, best interior, best features. But man, when the motors can't even make it through the warranty mileage. Sad. It's great when the cab has to come off your new 70 plus thousand dollar truck and you have to rely on their incompetant mechanics to put everything back together without "forgetting" all kinds of fasteners and such. (In defense to the mechanics though, I can see why.....when Ford and their dealer employers only pay them flat rate and they end up working for free, I guess I would rush too.)
99-02 7.3 if you don't want to purchase a newer one.
