Its really hard to say on the intake because I did 110s lp batmo the intake and a twin Siemens kit as well.....but seeing inside my intake versus the other has to make adifference...I had the kink in the front fixed as well and found that if you do that without a fuel bowl delete you must lift your factory one about a quarter inch to clear the fuel line to hpfp...filter minder sucks in have a s&b what can I do to get a bigger filter in there?
Yes I remember seeing the custom intakes but I couldn't find them now....I did my studs and gaskets figured since the cab was going to be up that was a good time to do some stuff so I had everything waiting in a pile lol
Why are you running bigger nozzles and only an LP batmowheel? These trucks are usually overfueled on tunes alone and get hot enough as it is. The only reason I don't want to go with bigger sticks is for the fact that I don't want to wastegate my truck at the moment so I'll only be going with a bigger turbo.
I have the bend in the front fixed on my manifold without the fuel bowl delete I just raised my fuel bowl a tad to clear the fuel line no biggie..if I recall correct Maryland did a fuel bowl delete test and fund it made no difference versus having the bowl...and this thread is for the intake manifold but I asked about adiff air intake mine isn't cutting it...
As far as why I did sticks and not a bigger turbo well adding more fuel is more power what is more air and same fuel going to produce? The 71 just has a bigger wheel to pull more air right? Well the batmo obv pulls more air because my filter minder never moved before now it gets pegged...smoke cleans up very good...I did a data log 4th early lock to 5th lock pinned and seen 1440 egt at 49 psi and 76 bp psi no Watergate yet...I'm not racing or pulling and don't ever hold it that hard at least try not to
A 71mm will pull a lot more air than an lp batmo. Running an overfueled truck without the air is potentially yielding the least amount of power possible. Yes you'll get some gain from the injectors but why not get the most out of them with a bigger turbo? All the fuel in the world won't make a difference if you don't have the air to move it. With a lift pump alone these trucks have plenty of fuel for stock turbos. Even with a 71mm most people still retain stock injectors or up the nozzle size a little bit. As far as the filter minder mine doesn't move at all with a lid off s&b.
Didn't he say the smoke cleans up? Doesn't that mean the batmo is providing efficient air? If it was over fueled it would smoke right? I guess you're argument really doesn't make sense..... Maybe his intake is working. Lol. I ordered one anyway. I'll let you know how it goes...
I am not hear to debate fuel vs. air or the 71 vs. batmo, just trying to provide some info. The fact that he cleans up the smoke doesn't mean the batmo is efficient (it might be, it might not be, but that by itself doesn't mean anything). If he ran the same program, same other mods, and same conditions and then just did a batmo as the only difference, and it cleaned up only after installing the batmo, that would mean the batmo is more efficient than stock. He is not getting overfueled/smoking because of programming (like Dustball said). I don't care what kind of turbo you have that is around 71 mm in size (including a BB turbo), with the AD, dual fuelers, and 110 injectors (unless the 110 are over-rated since there is no industry standard on how a company rates their injectors), no turbo around 71 mm is going to clean that up if you are running a program that provides the full fuel potential of that setup.
I am glad he did this build because it does help to confirm that you can run dual fuelers and decent size nozzles and have programs available that can make that setup work as a DD. In most setups, when you are doing dual fuelers, the companies that designed them, had in mine very powerful trucks with big singles or at least HPs size compound turbos in mind, so it is nice to see that a truck that doesn't have a sh#t load of HP (with big turbos) can still run this setup as a DD.
