:fordk guys ive got a 01 f250 lariat CCSB. Right now as it sits i have a 6 inch block in the rear and ( i know that its all bad and im changing to springs as soon as i get it figured out) a 4 inch block in the front. naturally the front is still approx. 2 inches lower than the rear. my first question is does that mean that the rear is only lifted 4 inches since they come factory with a 2 inch block installed, (not on anymore just the 6) or is it lifted 6 inches? my second question is do i just need 6 inch lifted springs in the front to level the truck with the 6 inch block in the rear? and if i do this does this mean that the truck has a 6 inch lift on it? im just a little thrown off by the fact that the f250 came from the factory with a 2 inch installed in the back. i dont want to buy an entire new lift so please don suggest that. i want to know what i need to get the whole truck leveled at 6 inches of lift so i can run 37s, (35's on now) and the truck is a V10 not a diesel sorry. thanks a lot!
I had a '99 f-250 diesel an put a skyjacker 6"susp an left the factory blocks in the rear an there was no rear sag. Personal pref on angle of the truck how it sits i didnt want mine nose diving so i left out the 6" block tht came with the lift. An blocks in the rear aint bad as long as u aint stackin'em.
OK so if i put a 6 inch lifted spring in the front to match the 6 inch block in the rear, the truck will be level at 6 inches of lift? And i can run 37s?
honestly if I were you, I would run a hanger/shackle up front ( add to your lift springs ), and a larger block in the rear and get it up to 8" of lift to run 37's, they look better and don't rub depending on the bs and offset of your wheels....and did I rear correctly that you have a 4" block IN YOUR FRONT AXLE? if so you need a whole new lift anyway brother man.
yes there is a 4 inch block in the front! 8 inches and 37s make it 2 tall for my garage so not an option. I like the lower look of the 6 anyways and ive got fiberglass bedsides and fenders on the way so fender rub wont be an issue. i just want 2 know if 6 inch front springs in the front and 6 inch block in the rear equals 6 inches of lift over stock?
That.depends if your rear springs are stock ir not. There are alot of factors missing here. I wouldnt even.drive that truck until you redo those front blocks.
Does the truck have a drop pitman arm and drop trac bar bracket?
I think if you install 6 inch front spring the truck will sit very close to level assuming the rear springs are stock. If it dosent sit at the rake you want then sell the block you have and get a block that will put the truck where you want.
