Hey guys, I saved up a little extra cash and im looking to buy a train horn for my truck. It seems that there are tons of them out there and i don't know what a good brand is or what im looking for?
im not looking to spend an arm and a leg, so i dont need a tank thats too big or the best compressor, i just want LOUD!
What are some brands i should look into and some brands i should stay away from?
Are they hard to install or could i do it in my drive way with a friend? some tips on install would be great too.
If you guys have one that you could recommend to me that would be great!!
viair 150 pSI compressor with their two gallon tank combo. and some 150db horns off ebay. everyone remarks on how loud mine are. lemme see if i can find them
im in florida? does it say im in Houston? Install is easy. i just boted the horns on a downward angle on the passengers side frame through existing holes. i made bracket and plate out of aluminum for the compressor to bolt to the frame
save your money and get a set of hornblasters, I've had mine for 2 years now and it's the best 400 dollars I've ever spent. I have this kit and it is by far worth the 400 dollars.
after looking at the kit it has gone up in price.....BUT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! plus they're in Florida and shipping is quick, I had my kit in a day and a half from them to Va.
Fire trucks usually use air horns. Different sound than a train horn. You can buy an air horn kit if you desire that sound. I do know some fire trucks and ambulances that use train horns however.
