im installing a used 6 inch lift i bought from a local seller. truck was a 99 f250 7.3 extended cab short bed, same as my truck but my truck is 2001 model. had to buy new pitman arm being one provided was smaller shaft and not timed right now installing front springs and they seem to be too short could this because its a 99? my first lift install and now truck is down
I dont belive there is any difference between the length of the front leaf springs from year to year. The only difference I know of is the bend of the U bolts for the front.
Have you loosened the top bolt for the shackle to enable you to swing the shackle further forwards? Just dont tighten any of the bolts until the truck is sitting on the tires .
Like posted above I always find it easier to instill the very front of the front springs first and then be able to swing the shackle however needed to get it to line up. Good luck
That was problem didnt loosen top shackle bolt. Thanks for replies just had a retard moment.
