I want to get some for my 2002 F350 dually for the back so I can have wider tires on the back. I know theres the ones from wheeladapter.com but i was just trying to find some that are a lil bit cheaper.
heck yeah, those look ok... i have made in U.S.A. 2.5'' spacers in the rear of mine also... got them on flebay. prolly close to 90k miles on them without a problem. made of the same exact thing those are...
I've had both in my hand at the sametime and all I can say is I went with the Steel ones after having them in my hand. They are more money but all I could think about is my kids in the back seat! Another thing I had an issue with is finding the coarse thread to match the stock lugs and nuts. I can't stand having mismatched lugs and lug nuts.
I've been running the steel, hubcentric 2" spacers from wheel adapter for about a year now. So far I haven't had a single issue, no vibrations, and they handle all the weight I can throw over the rear axle.
Ive seen first hand a lot of issues with aluminum spacers, on MUCH lighter trucks, like Toyotas. Everything you hear, studs sheering, inner lug nuts loosening, and wheel falls off, spacers cracking, breaking, etc. And almost all I know first hand were installed, torqued, red loctite on the inner nuts, torque rechecked multiple times over a month to get them fully seated. I wouldnt touch an aluminum spacer if you paid me. Steel on the other hand, Ive seen no issues with, and would run those, with loctite, and frequent retorqueing.
I have steel spacers from wheel adaptor or about 3years now. Towed 17k couple of times. And tow a 15k toy hauler regularly. ONLY spacer I'll buy. Pay the extra 100 bucks. If you're worried about paying too much, don't get spacers. Stick with your small tires.they're cheaper to buy vs 33's or 35's. Youll save more in the long run.
yea i was thinking 305s ish. what brand do you think? I have Kelly Safari TSR on at the moment but they are pretty worn down. I was thinking about putting the same kind of tires back on but I'm open to any opinions!
Good year duratracs. They're rated E and hold 3750lbs 10 ply. Only other tire I would get is the toyo MT which is rated E aswell but alot more than a duratracs. Theses numbers are for 315-75-r16 tires. I have the duratracs and love them.
5in rear block and 2.5in front leveling kit with 315-75-R16
I used dupli color at autozone. Works pretty good so far. It's been a year in the AZ heat, and the top is barley fading, but nothing a good polish an wax won't fix.
I ran 2" steel spacers with ford oem studs on the front and my dually 2008 F350 kept on snappin studs now im looking in to buying fords 67W front dana
without spacer
