Ive got an 06 and plan to lift it. I know where I can get a great deal on a used Rize 8" and the guy swears it will fit my truck. The website shows slightly different part numbers so Im unsure.
I think the swaybar is the only difference. Some say go to an 08 swaybar on the 05-07 SD because it is larger. I am thinking of doing that. You should be able to find the direction online for each Rize kit, compare the two.
Thanks guys, that give me some direction to head in, the sway bars are easy enough, I need to look into the track bar bracket and see if Rize sells replacements
Do any of u know what the difference is in the track bar brackets ? I just bought one for a 08 to put on my 06 . I haven't gotten it yet but they look identical in all the pics I've seen .
The front of the frame on a 08 and up truck starts to drop down in the area of the most forward bolt hole for the trac bar bracket. Because of this the front bolt hole for the trac bar bracket is not as far forwards on the frame on a 08 and up truck versus 05 to 07 trucks.
Ive never tried to change one with the other but I had to build a track bar bracket for my truck and I looked at a lot of 05 to 2011 trucks to make sure I solved my problem with the new bracket and noticed the differences between the trucks and brackets.
That's good to know I appreciate it .I guess ill what and see how many holes line up and if that's the only one that's different maybe I can redrill it to make it work . If not I think ill just get an adjustable track bar .
Yeah BDS has one in their kit and reuses the stock track bar . I think ill just get a track bar and not worry about the bracket .
