Poor guy stupid mistake tho. They need to teach the dangers of electricity or common sence in other countries. I'm a electrician on jets and can't stand getting a lil jolt, but it teaches me a lesson every time!!!!!
In India they have the poorest elec system in the world. Ever see pics of a city there. Lines going everywhere. A friend of mine was born there and said they tap into hot wires to steal power all the time and it's common when they die doing it.
Was working on one of our tree jobs. It was about a 60 foot poplar. I was roping down the last two branches when the top most crotch split and let all my ropes run. Branch tips touched both lines and the stub rested against the tree energizing it. Somehow I managed to kick the branch and rapel down. Got zapped 6 times from my left spur to my right hand. Melted my ropes. The tree caught on fire. Burnt my foot and hand. I started having heart problems weeks later shortly followed by a heart attack. I now refuse to do power line work. I can trust my skill, my equipment, and my guys. I can't however trust the tree I'm in. I think that was my warning. I look at power lines everyday and think " dam I'm glad I don't work on those" haha.
Glad you're still with us. You made the right decision. With that fear you would have made a mistake sooner or later. Too much caution can disrupt your work you know?? Sometimes it's not wise to get back on the horse. Bless you and I hope the rest of your life goes uneventful.
I saw the first one about 5 years ago. That was crazy how fast he got fried.
