1997 Ford F350 7.3 will not start

Engine shut down with no warning, I have replaced the fuel pump, and the crank sensor. The truck still will not start. It will start on either and then immediately shut down. Can anyone make a suggestion or have any idea what the problem may be?

IPR is on the hpop. Did you check your fuel bowl heater fuse?

Re: 1997 Ford F350 7.3 will not start

WOW!! I had the same problem and took a month to figure it out. First thing is to take off your fuel filter and check if there is correct amount of fuel in it. I can almost bet you have a clogged fuel line like mine. I changed the same things you did on my 97. The problem was the fuel tank auxiliary switch on frame rail before tank was fully clogged with black mudd to the main feed line. I just bypassed mine to front tank only and was a $20 fix. Rubber fuel line, barbed fitting and hose clamps and it was fixed! You can take it off and clean it but for me the switch was bad and only ran the front tank anyway. Man hope this help you and good luck!!
