Good to go. They just did my 6.4 a few weeks ago and it runs great and the milage went from 7 mpg towing to 11 mpg towing. I also gained about 6 mpg on city / hwy with hand calculated numbers. They changed all fluids and EGR/DPF delete with the H&S BlackMax. Plus a few other things while it was in the shop.
What do you have for a tuner? I also have No Limit cold air intake and elbow, straight through exhaust and the truck has been lowered for less wind drag. If I drive a little slower and start using summer fuel I should get about 20 mpg's.
I had *** add the WG option for towing reasons. Reading all the HG's that have failed on 6.4's pushing the power level higher than designed I wanted a mechanical safety. I gated it to open at 60 psi back pressure.
Back pressure isn't the direct cause for head gasket failure. Cylinder pressure with big tunes is the direct cause. I'm sure that back pressure is a contributor, but I honestly don't think 60-70 psi of back pressure is going to blow a head gasket.
I blew head gaskets making 55 psi of boost and 58-60 psi of back pressure.
Jeff,
I was using that as a limiter to effect boost. If I start bleeding off BP the boost stabilizes or goes down. Fuel + Boost + Timing = CP.
