Im interested in your king 2.5 inch pin top shocks for my truck, but my truck is only lifted 2.5 inches versus your kits at 4.5 inches. Can or will you guys put together and sell me king pin tops with your valving for my truck?
My truck is running Icons coils on the front and 2011 leafs on the back with your add a packs and two inch blocks. The bump stops on the front of the truck are in the original location. The truck is a 2002 but has both 2006 axles and suspension parts.
Just want to say I love the site too, always great new stories on customer trucks and new trips you guys go on. Its better than most off road magazines.
Thanks for your interest. We are going to be developing a 2.5" from what I hae been told but nothing available yet; know it's in the works. Thanks for the compliments on the site, keep your eyes peeled as we're relaunching the site to reflect all the products we currently have available with a more user friends navigation to assist potential customers in finding the right system!
I didnt change the rear shock mounts. Other than having the right shock in front of the rear axle what problems would I potentially run into with the shock being on the back of the axle? Is there some other aspect that is different? Like the angle that that the shock sits at?
Im not quite ready to spend the money yet. Do you think they will be close to the same price as the 4.5 inch lift setup?
One comment for Carlis site, if it isnt allready in the works, I would like to see you have a section with all of the installation instructions. I found some on your site once, but it took a while.
We are in the process of relaunching our website to reflect our new products and provide a more user friendly exprience. Installation instructions are all being reworked as well!
I will be looking into a lift for my 01 SD sometime in the near future . Just would like to know what you offer for my truck. Being looking at many different options. I would like to have a lift no more than 6 inches. I was looking at about 5" of lift.
All of there lifts seem to be for trucks that have coil spring front suspensions for 2005 and up trucks with fords. You may be able to use some of the rear suspension parts though.
I dout there is any geometry or mounting difference between the 2005 to current truck axles. Gear ratios, frame rail track bar bracket, and anti sway bars are different on 08 up trucks.
Not sure if this thread is stilling being managed - but, why is there such a big price difference in the add a pack v. full spring pack when upgrading the Commuter 2.0 kit?
The component price is $750 for the add a pack and $1195 for the full pack, yet when opting to add/change to full pack it's an additional $750? I know the parts are probably discounted within the kits but when I price these out as separate items it seems $300 difference in pricing for one part is better high. I really want to get the Commuter 2.0 for my 2014 F250, and I don't want to regret NOT getting the full pack but the price difference is making look at other options or wait.
The full leafs for the 2.5" kit are $1450 as opposed to $1195 hence the $700 upgrade price. This is due to volume. A huge majority of the 4.5" kit buyers upgrade to the full leafs both the improve the ride plus to avoid having to run tall F350 blocks. Because of this Carli orders pallets of the 4.5" rear leafs.
The amount of customers that order the full leafs for the 2.5" kits is far less (at least right now) so Carli doesn't get any huge volume discounts from Deaver like they do on the 4.5" leafs.
Here is the new replacement coil bucket/shock mounts that Carli developed so that they could run a shock bigger than the 2.5's. Sage has been working on shock valving on those as well as some rear upper shock mounts to allow 3.0's back there as well.
We'll have all of this new stuff listed on the 8LUG website as soon as it is available.
As of right now i have a procomp stage 1, 6" lift kit with their MX-6 shocks on my truck and duel steering stabilizers. My issue is that i have a buckstop bumper and a warn m12000lb winch on the front of my truck which together totals about 400 pounds. Between my front bump stop and axle i only have 3/4" of room. So for a quick fix i cut off 1" from the bump stop extension blocks to increase my up-travel of the axle. I was getting tired of bottoming out the front end of my rig all the time. So basically i was thinking of installing your pintop 4.5" lift kit and i was wondering if your front coil springs are big/tough enough to bring the front end of my truck up the whole 4.5". I know thats not an issue with a stock bumper, but with the added weight like i have. Will your lift systems be able to deliver the performance i want by increasing the up travel.
With that much added weight your truck will sit about 1/2" lower than it would with a stock bumper setup. You might want to consider the coil over kit so you can dial some preload into them to offset the added weight. Also since the coilovers use a single rate coil the added weight won't hurt the ride as much as it would with a progressive rate coil like the Pintop uses.
Oh i understand now, so with your coil over kit i can basically pretension the front coil springs and have perhaps 4" of front end lift instead of the full 4.5" with a stock bumper. Secondly i do not know that much about coil over systems, would they be robust enough/strong enough to handle all the abuse from that extra weight for an extended amount of time. I'm looking at keeping my truck for another 6-10 years.
Hello I just purchased a 2014 ford platinum f 250.. I'm wanting to put 35x12.50 mt tire with a 22x 12 or 20x12 wheel witch have a -44 offset! I want to just level it or go as low as possible on a lift so I barely clear as I like the stuffed wheel well look.. any idea on what carli suspension I would need to achieve this? I also don't mind trimming a bit as long as it's not a major mod.. thanks
who has run the 2.5 leveling coils? how does it ride? i see they are not progressive. also any imput on the add a pack for 05-07? i want to lower my truck and i am torn on what coils to run.
has anyone ran the carli leveling coils and the icon leveling coils?
