The 4r100 in my '01 7.3 4x4 is not long for this world. And by not long, I mean it's gonna croak sooner rather than later. The case is cracked almost all the way around at this point.
I'm toying with the idea of having a trans built for it. What I need to know is the differences between the diesel cases. I've found a couple 99 4r100 4x4 cases reasonable, I'm just not sure if I can use these for a core to start building off of. I know there is a few internal parts that have to be swapped between a 2wd and a 4wd, but if I'm having someone build a trans, they should be able to change out whatever I need correct?
