I have an 03 f250 4x4 with the 6.0, and have a buddy that has an f350 with the 7.3 99 model i believe. His truck has 4.11's and I have 3.73's. How hard will it be to swap the front and rear ends between the two truck. He is wanting more fuel economy and I need the lower gearing for pulling.
If one of those trucks is a '99 - make sure it's a late '99. A lot of the components in the early '99 axle are different, late '99 -04 are all the same.
As for Dana 60 front axles - would a 2011 F250 front axle be a 60 or a 50?
Awesome! I didn't know that! Makes me feel alot better about adding locker to the front now
