Hello all,
Just thought I'd show a new solution to an old problem with the bell crank clutch linkage on the OBS. Big Kenny is my dad, and this is his idea, posting it for him.
Here is a shot of the bell crank removed, and the old worn pin pressed out and a new 3/8" X 1" clevis pin pressed in and welded. This thing won't go anywhere again.
We go to our collection of bushings and pick out one that fits snug in the eye of the clutch master push rod.
The bushing chosen is from a Chevy door hinge pin. It needed to be drilled out to fit the clevis pin snug.
This is the final assembly. Simple, effective, and most inportantly cheap.
I'll keep you posted how well it works as this is my tugger truck, and reliability is key. Just thought I'd share it with everyone, and give an alternative to what is currently out there.
