Usually the numbers in the trans name are describing it...6forward, Reverse, and 1400ftpds. This has been the case in the past so I assume its still true.
1400 ftlbs is the torque rating of the clutches after the TC. The TC amplifies the engine torque. So the engine torque will have to be less than 1400 ftlbs.
So far so good on mine....i have been pulling with 37" tires with h&s tuner for the last 27000 miles and my dad with 35s for 30000....this is a picture of a typical load..
I love them so far, i have run several sets of these tires in different sizes. My only complaint is i wish they were a tad bit wider....they are a good bit narrower and shorter then toyo mt 37x1350s on my brothers truck.
I am running the stock 3.55 gears in my truck and it seems to handle the tires and the loads very good....much better then my 06 ford with 37s and my 08 chevy with 35s.
believe it or not but i ran these same tires on factory wheels with just a 2" spacer up front.....but it looked like too much tire for the fender with that little lift.....go ahead and get you a carli or do like me and have to piece one together as money comes in lmao!!!
I always thought the 140 in 6r140 ment its weight rating? 14,000 lbs? Are you sure its a tq rating?
