Power steering bracket

My power steering, AC, vac pump bracket just broke at the power steeing pump and spit the serpintine belt. I have a new bracket on the way. I checked all the pullies and they all turn with out force. I'm having a hard time believing that a bracket just breaks. My truck is pretty clean and not beaten. Anyone have a thought on this? Thanks for any insight.
