so I'm ready to lift my '08 F250. I'll be running 35/12.50 ATZ on 18s. I havent found one lift with all the features I"m looking for, so I've pieced together a bunch of different stuff. still flipping back and forth between 2.5 or 4.5 inch, but think I've settled on the following for the front:
-4.5" Icon coils
-Icon adjustable track bar
-OUO adjustable radius arms (bc i hate the stock radius arms as it is, and cringe at the thought of slinging them even lower under my truck in full view if I used those relocation brackets)
-Rancho XL9000 shocks with the remote reservoirs
Would this be a good set up for the front and include all I need?
and for the rear I want to incorporate air bags as I tow over 20,000 lbs at times, and was intrigued when I saw Firestone's new R4tech air-over-leaf suspension, but dont like the price tag nor the lack of traction bars. (600 horse will twist those little helper springs or whatever they call them into a pretzel I imagine) sooo here's what I was thinking:
-OUO traction bars (should I go weld-on or clamp-on?)
-6" blocks (I'm assuming I should get tapered? what about the pin offset so I can keep the axle centered? might just get the OUO blocks integrated, but those are too pricey IMO)
-Firestone airbags 5000lb+ weight rating or so, probably more than that, 10,000?, still need to look into exactly what rating I should run, but won't run just regular RideRite bags
-remove two leaves or so from the stock spring pack to give soft ride unloaded but rely on bags when towing
-Rancho XL9000 shocks with reservoirs that are teed into the bag pressure so they adjust with the load, just like the R4tech kit.
-already have onboard air so the rest is just a matter of plumbing. I would run the OUO air bag mount that sits on the leaf spring and then fab up a top mount for the frame.
what do you guys think about this rear setup? Seems to me like it would be the best of both worlds, soft unloaded ride, no more axlewrap, yet great towing capabilities.
that turned into a really long post I know, and I apologize, but I hope I can hit a home run with a setup like this. Thanks!
