ok so there is this guy running around town talk his trash to anyone and everyone about how fast his truck is.. he has a 03 2500 cummings with what he claims to be a "HUGE" turbo and 205 injectors he doesnt have a programmer on it but claims to run 11.1's allday.. also said he but out 1150hp on the dyno... im not to familar with dodge but could this be??
A cummings can be built up to make that sort of power without question but those who make that kinda power don't generally run their mouth. Plus I would venture to guess if he was putting down that kinda power he would be quicker than 11.1 unless its a big heavy dually or something.
I just helped a friend finish his cr he is some where around 800 with a built pump, 120 stix and a stocker over s486, granted he dose have other small parts that help the big ones but a dd with 1100 wheel is not something you see everyday. and cummins over 800 wheel is getting a little deep just like anything else
1200 hp with out a programer? no way even with a smarty jr, no way welcome to america freedom of speach means you can always run your mouth, challange him thats all you can do
I've never met a guy with a 1150 HP DD, and if it does just happens to be 1150 HP (I highly doubt thou) I doubt he would be wanting to race on the street cause he'd loose alot of money if it got impounded or totaled, so if he was wanting to do it on the street that'd throw a big RED flag for me
I know someone that has an extremly over sized turbo 150hp injectors head studs fass fuel system and a badass smarty pod, its a crew cab short bed 05 cr and he says hes just over 500hp
There is a guy around here with a 1000 hp DD. Know his nephew very well. But it was built by woodruff. But its hard to keep together at that horsepower. Blown multiple boots and gets awful mileage.
Another guy has a tow pig pushing right at 800hp and will flat roll on with a 30ft gooseneck and 3.0 truck on it.
Neither one of these guys go around doing stupid creap or run there mouth but the ones with 450 - 500 trucks do.
there is no way at all. and he drives a dodge so that should tell you right there. the guys that keep there mouth shut only drive a dodge for the cummins. if they had the time and money i bet they would rather have that cummins in a ford. and if you ask them they will say i drive a cummins not a dodge. there is a difference between dodge boys and guys who drive cummins. normally if they keep there mouth shut they know what they are talking about. if they run there mouth well guess what run em! i have a guy that talks his 12v up all day. come race day with me i had a crowd ready to go to watch him get spanked. 30 mins before the race he backed out. just proof that runnin your mouth will catch up to you at some point
theres a local loser like that with a lbz, the truck has a built trans, air dog and big tunes, talks #### like its his job... sure his truck can put down low 13's high 12's all day
let me tell you it gets real old hearing people talk and talk and talk whether they can back it up or not.
I had a kid stop in yesterday who had a 1200 hp duramax that he drove up to my shop. It had a manual tranny. I asked him what he had for a clutch and if it was a single disk, double or triple. He said it was a single. He then told me he had just gotten out of the army as a diesel mechanic and is going to be starting his own diesel shop in town. I said good luck and I had to get back to work.
yea i forgot stickers add HP!!!! i dont have any on my truck maybe thats what i need.
and wow thats a sweet single disk.....NOT!!!! some people these days. There is always someone that has something better than you so why not just be happy with what you have and dont try to talk your stuff up when its no where near that
There was a dodge cumguzzler on craigslist I awhile ago that was a full blown drag truck. It made 12-1300 hp and ran 10.90s I don't know specs but it had cage and 4 slicks water to air etc etc. I forget who'd built it but I would agree with everyone else that the dude is full of ####
Yep that guy is definitely full of it. Cummins, not cummings, do have the advantage of being much easier to make power with than powerstrokes (with the exception of the 6.4L ), but there's no way he's over 1000 especially on stock tuning.
to be honest i am a cummins guy, and i can assure you he's talking out of his a$$. a common rail wont make that kind of power on a big single. making 700hp without a tuner IS BELIEVABLE. i wouldnt doubt that. but running 11s is tough, i have a 12v with 600hp (dyno proven) its got a 5 speed and i cant run faster than 14.
Granted he has a FULLY built auto, and 500-600hp he would run right about 13-13.5s. and not any faster.
my friends commonrail made 780 with a silver 66, 200hp injectors, tuning and of course all the supporting mods. with the stock file i think it made 400 or so.
that guy is full of crap lol
