hey guys, ive gotten the idea in my head that my CCLB wont look right leveled on 35s because its so long....sooo my question is, if i were to step up to a 37" tire, how small can I keep the truck?
a 6" lift is out of the question, im to fat to climb in and out of that every day!!!
i might consider a 4-4.5 lift if i have to
would a 3" leveling spacer(05 suspension) and a 5 inch block in the rear be enough(1" over stock f350 blocks) ????
right now i have a set of stock 18'' wheels for it but at the time of tire purchase i'd like to go to a 20x9 or 20x10
while it fit I was not comfortable with the potential of shredding a tire off road
so I had to bump it 2 more inches ,
take into account the coils settle after a while so my 6 inch list was probably down from a true 6 .. but yours is an anomaly all I can do is give you my before and after measurement to the top of wheel well from the ground
keep in mind also Tire MFG sizes and even stated sizes are a joke and also depend on rim width
i dont care about articulation, the truck will NEVER off road, its a DD and occasional tow rig. That being said, think I could fit them with a sub 4'' suspension?
Joe the CCLB will have 05+suspension(its in the OP)....the coils are 11' plow package
Not sure what year model yours is but my 06' has 37's on an 8" lift and I still get rub under any kinda articulation......and at 3/4 turn.......sucks ass
You can see how close it comes to the bumper valence but there was not trimming needed, just had to remove the front factory mud flaps. I think 37's could fit but I would think you want 4.5" at least, or some trimming on the front and pull back the inner fender liner.
I think my rear block is 4.25" but it occasionally seems to sit a touch low, or level, nother quarter inch at least would be make it always just right. Least with the coil front end you could easily mess around with some spacers to get it just right.
Also backspacing will probably affect any rubbing, I'm running 18x9 with 5" backspacing, the 12.5 wide tires stick out about 1-1.5" past the factory trim flares.
thanks.that pic puts it in a better perspective for me... i guess im gonna have to see how it sits when its all done
