So i want to test my fuel pressure. I am really curious to see what my dynamic fuel pressure looks like. Well my question is what gauge should i look into to test this? also is there any good how to videos on this subject? Thanks for and advice or tips.
i watched some like how to video and he was referring dynamic as the fuel pressure when your moving. he said you have a dynamic fuel pressure when in motion and a sitting still idle fuel pressure. Is there a difference?
Look on Swamps site ( I believe that's where it is ) tells you how to hook up gauge.
You will need a couple fitting & some hose, #4MB-1/8NPT to tap into fuel bowl I got at a Parker Store.
Ford specifically says that you do not consume enough fuel with a "static test" for an accurate test on fuel pressure. They say it needs to be a 0-50 WOT.
This is what i got for the fuel pressure gauge, it goes into the test port Page 30: Fuel Supply System
this is a cool set up gets the sender away from the heat and viberation of the motor. 6.0L Fuel Pressure Adapter
If you have low fuel pressure at WOT here is the fix.
Here you go this is a good post by Band Member on the fuel pressure reg spring install over at thedieselstop Fuel Regulator Upgrade w/ Pictures - Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com
