I am a new member here. I got tired of looking thru the threads after page 10 so I decided to just ask.. I have a 2000 F350 stock other than 4" straight from turbo back. I have been having tranny issues for awhile. When I shift from park or rev. into drive I sit there for awhile with nothing happening. Reverse works fine and shifts fine once I get rolling. I have changed the fluid. It seems to only do it once it is warmed up. In mornings it works fine. I can sometimes shift into 1 and it will take right off or I can push in the od button and it will take right off. I have had 2 different guys tell me it is the torque converter and that there are vents on the side of the tranny that need to be cleaned.. Can anyone enlighten me on my problem?? If it is the tc can I get by with just replacing it or what else should I replace while im in there??
