Im looking to get upgraded turbos. Ive heard good thing about Elite tow powers, but the Industrial Injection ones are $600 less. What are you guys running? Is Elite that much better? Any insight would help. Thanks.
They're both an upgrade, but the elite one is better. I don't have experience on the industrial, but the specs say it's worth while. The elite one definitely makes a noticable difference though, and fits/ works nicely.
Elite's are better and worth the extra money IMO. However for the money, II turbo's do make a big difference as well. Both are great options. Feel free to give us a call to discuss the options, happy to help.
Elite Diesel will be releasing a Torque-Tow set of turbos very soon. These will be priced closer to the II set and will include the same 71mm wheel in the amtosphere turbo. The vgt will get a smaller compressor wheel and turbine wheel compared to the tow-powers.

How do you know this? I have asked you this before and you skip around the question. If our heads are the limiting factor then why did aarons truck recently dyno 860hp on fuel with max-power turbos. If what you say is true then the II turbos should dyno 860hp? I know they wont but I want your response.
The reason I know our 71 wheel outflows the II wheel is because we used to use that same wheel. It is a production wheel from Borg Warner off of the K31. ATS does the same thing. That is how I know our wheel is better because our original Tow-Powers used that same wheel and we did before and after testing.
Wow and your proved why no Elite part will ever touch my truck. You act all tough behind your keyboard but in person you dont. Tell me your highest HP truck with "stock" heads and tow powers and Ill put a set off II's on and well see how much better yours are. Better yet I invite you to bring a set of your turbos and well do it same truck same day same dyno.
Who is going to pay for the travel and labor involved in this swap? Most want to do this cab off so have fun getting volunteers to see who's is better in this pissing match. Both have turbos out there but Elite is the one leading the way and the rest are playing catch up. Plane and simple. Show any company selling anything equivalent to the HP or MAX power compounds. There isn't, and don't say that they have them but aren't for sale or advertised yet. That sh!t doesn't cut it. Others may develop some set ups soon but they are chasing Elite. Yes I am an Elite nut swinger. Proud to say I have their parts on my truck.

I'm trying to learn here for I am going through possible turbo options for my truck.
What does mike d truck make with high powers and stock everything. What does tow powers make. What does industrials turbos make. Can someone just answer these questions and let everyone decide fr themselves

That is the problem, no one has the same set up and able to get on the same dyno to compare. People usually do more fuel, or different engine mods at the same time as a turbo upgrade so comparing isn't accurate. Having a test truck to compare different set ups would be nice, but you would need a shop with the turbos that are willing to let you test both of them on a dyno to compare. I don't see that happening though. Even if you compare two trucks with the same engine and fuel mods, with just the turbo change there will be discrepancies. Different dynos, elevation etc. Hell it seems some trucks make more power than others with everything the same. I would love to see a comparison, don't get me wrong. Just all those factors make it hard.
sorry to get off subject, but isn't BD diesel releasing a upgrade kit that you upgrade your turbos yourself?(II and Elite are way out of my price range)

Haha, I'm with Joe.. My trucks just sittin till December.. I'll ship it to whoever wants it, ya'll figure out the best thing and cut me a deal on the labor lol. I'm lookin to do a motor built!
Sorry no hijack!! Seems like since Elite had the same wheel in thier previous set of tow turbos maybe they would know what kinda power differences there are in the two wheels??
So I am going to toss a guess in here from reading this thread... If you want a beefed up truck that will push over the max of a stock truck tuned with simple bolt on's then Industrial is the way to go.. If you want a truck in roids on the street pick up the Elite?
I guess I am the odd ball with this question. But which would be the better/ longer lasting without issues turbos? I don't have any interest in bigger injectors. Don't really need more power than the 310 tune, but I understand they drop the egt's some too.
