I was thinking of taking the rear block out on my truck and cutting 1 full coil off of the front springs. Are there any noticable benifits from doing this other than making it easier to climb over your roll bar/cage?
I have heard that getting the truck closer to the ground will help some, but not a significant amount. It definitely looks better lowered....at least in my opinion.
I went with 5.4 front coils and no rear block, and it's pretty low.
This past weekend I took the rear blocks out of my 08, and cut a half a coil off the front stock springs. The ride is definately better. As far as helping with racing goes, I don't yet know, but it looks hella cool.
im not really sure why your truck would ride better with a half coil cut. they shouldnt ride any better due to the change in rate.
if you cut your coils remember to use a cutoff wheel or something that wont heat them much. torch is a big no no lol.
