are u looking for an intake elbow or the actual manifold? intake elbows on 6.0s offer really no performance gain. they are pretty much for looks and an easy spot for injectables. cfm and s&b dont make intake manifolds so i assume u were talking about an elbow.
If you are looking for an intake manifold...look into gogo diesel's manifold. If you want a intake elbow...i love the CFM+ large mouth. LIke said, very little performance gains will be had with a intake elbow. I have one cause it was easy putting water injection nozzles and a boost line to it.
has anyone blown apart the stock plastic intake elbow, like found on 05's?
I did an intercooler and cfm at the same time, was just trying to remove as much plastic as possible.....maybe a double whammy of wasting my money, but i will say i dont pin my 1600 deg. pyro meter as fast anymore, if at all.
OP: there probably are better avenues to spend some money on your rig then the cfm+, in my humble opinion...do you have gauges?
Banks has the best. They use a bigger boost tube. The bigger tube allows them to use a bigger elbow. Others use the stock size tube so theirs is smaller.
Banks isn't the only one....CFM+ has a kit also that has the larger IC pipe to go with the large intake elbow. I have the CFM+ kit and have used the banks kit also(still have it) and personally i think the CFM+ one is better cause it is already drilled and taped for boost fittings and for nitrous and/or water injection nozzles.
the ford one will be cheaper, but it isn't bigger. The banks and the CFM IC tube comes with the larger intake elbow...that's why it's $400.
