Garrett Powermax stock injectors with innovatives Extreme Race... i have both the race and street extreme files just wondering which would be better... im on 35x12.50x20 and stock gears...

Got the powermax brand new through a buddy for 700 bucks its not on yet its goin on saturday im gonna do the injectors eventually just gotta wait for the funding
I can tell that my buddy's '05 is way slower than mine when their both in stock programming, and I've never heard of an '05 with just a tune run anything better than a low 14 (I rarely see a 13.99) but I've seen a few '03-'04's run as low as a 13.55.
I've done it numerous times...I don't see why it's so hard.
Hell...I ran a 13.9 in my 2wd on street tires with a damned Edge/Attitude back in 04. 99% of the time it's not what the vehicle can do...it's the person in the driver seat.

Let's play with the calculator for a sec and think about this...
The "average" SCT race tune puts 430 to the wheels on the high side...so I used 7200 as vehicle weight to run a 14.0
Now making that same weight run a 13.55 (to use your numbers) it takes 474.
That's 44 more HP. Has anyone EVER seen that big of a swing in dyno numbers between an 03 truck and an 05 truck?
(take calculator numbers with a grain of salt...it is what it is.)

I mean I've done it n umerous times in various trucks of varying year models. I used to make hits in peoples trucks all the time when they had problems launching.
My truck was not lowered in 04 and that would have very little to do with anything...we're talking about sub 100 mph runs here to just barely over.
Tire size would have much more effect on ET than stance at speeds/ET's that slow.
I see what your saying but this info doesnt just get made up and strewn around like you think it does. people have obviously done it to come to this conclusion. the expert has spoken take it with a grain of salt
Then why have I seen, and why have I driven 05^ trucks to 13.8ish ET's numerous times ?
Y'all are saying basically that it can't be done....but I've done it many times.
Doesn't make sense to me is all. I mean...we have a good track at home but I don't think trucks are faster in Texas or anything.
I don't doubt the pass you're speaking of...I just used your numbers on the calculator to show the difference in power levels between the two ET's and ask if anyone had ever seen that big of a swing on a dyno.
I personally haven't.
As it has been said before, track times don't lie. Dynos are not completely accurate, I believe there is a guy on here that dynoed 466 HP with his '06 with a tune only (no exhaust, intake, or anything). You also have to keep in mind that '05-'07 trucks are heavier than the '03-'04's.
I agree w you im just saying that it must be an average thing. Becase im sure you can run a better 1/4 time in my own truck than i could because of experience factor. Id put money on it. But down here in average land its kinda true.
back when I had stock injectors and a powermax on a 06 truck I ran a 14.2 ran a 14.4 with stock turbo both were on 33'' MTs. This was at diffrent track and diffrent condtions mind you. My truck also weighs 7800lbs
The track the OP is running on i ran a 14.3 @ like 89 with a 1.9 60' in my 03 ccsb with 35s, im thinking with the powermax he could pull off 14.0 if he gets a solid launch and low 60'
Just a thought, but I had a 04 cclb 4x4, 7600lbs, 31" stock tires, my 2006 cclb 4x4 is 8000lbs and has 34" stock tires, all 05 and newer had 33or 34" tires.
Those 35s will kill your time! I did 13.7 @92 or 93 mph with tune and exhaust on 30.5" tires i put on 32.5" and brought me down to 14.2 (after being stolen so who knows??)
I have an 03. I think my posi's clutch packs are gone cause it does show it as a limited slip 3.73 rear but almost never spins posi. It's a dead stock truck and is a super cab long bed with only 33" tires not lifted.
I bought a TSX and took it to the track with the performance tune in it. I was impressed! I managed 96mph on one pass and a 14.99 on another. I did not expect such high mph in the 1/4. I spun badly each pass well into 3rd because my posi isn't working right and it's single wheelin the whole time at the track.
EDIT: I only ran twice, the 1st pass which hit the 96mph was a 2.69 60' and the 2nd, that hit 14.99 was with a 2.98 60'. That should answer any traction questions. It was spinning very bad, I had to let of 2x to try to peddle it but still managed a 14.xx.
