hey guys was wanting to change my rear axle. I have a 2004 350 drw and was curious on what srw axle would be compatible with my drivetrain. Any help would be better than where i am at now
If you have the 8 bolt x 170mm hubs, then just remove the dual wheels and put on singles. In the front, remove the hub spacer. Rear is a Dana 80, which is stronger than a Sterling 10.5" . Wheels will stick out a few inches further.
yep i was jst going to say the same thing, I have put a many dually axles in srw pulling trucks. it makes the back tires like 2-4" wider but its not really noticable!
That's a pretty sweet looking dully, seen u at the auction saturday. Sharp looking truck. How many miles on the truck. Are you looking to swap stuff or what?
thanks for the compliments , was just debating doin the swap. Everybody i mention it to says i should leave it the way it is. So we will see. I probably will just use the extra cash for other mods.
That's a sweet looking truck man.....I wanted to put 1 super single on the back of mine but have been told i cant....I have the 06 F350 dually with 6"lift...
Thanks Savage, your truck is badass, just seein yours makes me want to leave mine just the way its . I havent looked into a super single yet, i wonder with mine being a 04 if i could do it.
I did mine. Dana 80 in the rear, run spacers up front and the 2007+ wheel offset...
