In stock form they are actually pretty tuff. One of my buddies has one in their mowing truck its an animal I would love to see what one could do in a small truck stock.

Maybe...some of them....everyone I've been around have been complete junk. Underpowered, overheating, runs rough etc, etc...to the point where they park the pos's and go buy isuzu's to actually do the work advertised (all the while still paying the notes on them!) You would be hard pressed to find a dealer over here who still sales them. They can't give them away.

Re: 4.5l Powerstroke?

You cant do anything with it... and it takes 15 minutes to get it to talk to the truck. Using Wifi or just USB cable.... its retarded..... I have a friend who is the Teriitorial Service Manager from Navistar of Columbia, he says they rushed it and didnt finish it in time.... By now they should have come out with a revision.... you honestly cant do anything with it.....

Re: 4.5l Powerstroke?

I think Ford is shelving this in favor of the Ecoboost TT V6. The 3.5EB makes 365/420, 90% of the torque is available at 1700 rpm. It has the power and fuel economy of a small diesel, just gas powered. It could be why we're hearing about GM looking back into producing a small Duramax.
