Few More Mods Made.

Just thought I would share my progress. I recently added a 7.3 IC, 1.0 Exh Housing, WW2, 360 bearing kit, and the sound and performance is fantastic! I see a reduction in loaded egt's of about 175 degrees when pulling at a steady 15 pounds of boost going up a steep incline. I use to hit 1250-1300 and now it sits steady 1050-1100 degrees turning 2200 rpm and 15#'s. I decided to flush my coolant, and add a filter. I bought Motorcraft battery cables, and finally a quick drain valve on the oil pan. Think I'm done for a while. Lots of great help from this site.

Now I have to figure out how I'm going to replace the stub shaft I-joint with the shaft still in the truck.

Lots of go fast parts

Re: Few More Mods Made.

That's quite a compliment. Thank you. It's been quite a process this year and I think I've addressed every part of the truck in one way or another. I always wanted a CCSB 4x4. I procrastinated forever looking for that great deal. Once I figured out it was going to be exspensive no matter what, I went ahead and bought one. It gets more conversations started than my 93 Lightning.

Re: Few More Mods Made.

I want to get a hood liner and replace that stub shaft u-joint, then I'm done until something needs attention.

Re: Few More Mods Made.

Hood liner? What's that? Lol
I take them out on everything.
Then foil/aluminum backed stuff would look good.
