Question High amp alternator

Does anyone know if there is an alternator that is over 115 amp and one that charges full at an idle. Also has anyone ever put the huge ambulance alternator on there truck before.

DB Electrical Starter-Alternator > alternator, chevy alternator, mini alternator, chrome alternator, ford alternato

Call these guys Monday they are the best in the market. Buddy of mine just bought one for 210 bucks for a 200 amp alternator.

You don't need to break the budget or install the monster from an ambulance, try this link.

The best alts are Ohio Generator http://www.ohiogen.com/

I was quoted 450 amp alt for $500. You have to use 0 gauge from the alt to the bat so you don't melt the wiring in the harness though.

2000 EX, fuel, air, and heat.

Yep. If you want to do it right, you'll have to change the positive battery cable/harness.

Where did you get the maxi 300A fuse block? I have installed the 200amp from paperformance.com. Works good when the idle is higher. But a little low when just regular idle.

Re: High amp alternator

So it was already on the truck? I have been looking for one but the parts stores don't seem to have any that big.

No, when the original 130A alternator crapped out I converted to the 215A ambulance one.

Take your pick: Ford Alternator Mitsubishi A8TU0091, buy and sell Parts Accessories on eBay Motors
