I am going to be doing the same thing, still in research mode though. I will be getting them from superbrightleds.com or something like that. They have a auto finder to tell you what you need, the only thing that gets me is that they have all different sizes for the same application. So if anyone knows what size the stock incandescents are please let us know.

Re: LED Instrument Panel Lights

the dash insert has a filter in it that makes it illuminate green, so it will take more than just changing bulb color to change the dash color.

Led's are pretty bright, put white one's in my ranger dash, with green tinting also and they weren't to green, almost blue. If you put in blue ones it will be pretty blue, seen it in a ranger befrore, looked pretty good.

Re: LED Instrument Panel Lights

I saw where someone put blue led behind their green elemented dash, and it came out blue, looked good but i like my old green dash. I will stick with white leds personally, but then to each their own. have a good one.

Re: LED Instrument Panel Lights

I suppose since blue is one of the colors that makes green, it will let at least some portion of the light through. I am looking forward to seeing how this works out for you, except i just replaced all of the bulbs in my dash 3 days ago, and am going to be pissed if I could have put blue LED's in it to change the color ... haha. I have always thought that would be cool.
