engine oil temp sensor

My truck has an oil temp sensor code in it and i was trying to replace the sensor and could not get the sensor for the plug i have truckside. I finally went to ford and they have a new pigtail that you splice on and changes the plug over. has anyone else had to do this before or know where to get a different sensor? Thanks

Re: engine oil temp sensor

I ran into this and ended up buying a aftermarket one instead. It comes with the old connector and you dont have to splice it. I am a Ford parts manager and still did not want to cut it. but you cant get the old style from ford.
