7.3 Powerstroke Injector removal and install

Finally got some injectors, well 4 anyway. Ryan Casserly Stockers

To start I removed the vc & gasket then removed the oil plug as seen below. Make sure the alen wrench is a snug fit. There are 2 of them one on left top of head & one on right, this beats purging the cylinders when done.

Next you gotta remove the oil spout bolt & two injector hold down bolts.
You gotta use a wrench for the bolt under the injector plug.

Focker in law took off with some of my tools so I used the open end of a 1 1/8 wrench to pry injectors worked pretty nice.

Next just remove injectors slowly "So that brass washer dont fall off" one at a time, now just install new injectors seating them with a rubber mallet & reverse the whole process.
Torque everything to spec.

keep on crankin, it takes awhile. just let your starter cool between tries so you don't burn it up

i left the injectors unplugged and the glow plugs out then cranked it to build pressure and make it easyer on the starter. Then re-installed the glow plugs and pluged in the injectors and she fired over with in 2 15 second cranking cycles.

All that does is purge the cylinders. I do however reccomend for everyone to do this. Taking out the oil galley plugs sometimes isn't enough IMO.
