97 powerstroke low boost and power

i have a 97 f250 powerstroke that i have had a major loss of power and boost and poor fuel mileage. it started when my buddy tried putting his edge cts on my truck brfore setting his back to stock. it froze his edge up and had t0 have it reset. my truck had always had a bit of sputter to it pulling in third gear but would still get up and go. i have had my pcm reflashed but didnt help. i do have oil in the icp sensor. the truck starts up fine and runs fine but if i get on it boost doesnt build till about 2 and half grand 3rd gear (5 speed) its real sluggish. ive checked the uvc harness by unpluggin each conector one by one and each time the truck ran different. i unpluged the icp and the truck ran no different. it does run better with the map unplugged but i have switched it out and didnt help. now im lost can it be the icp or another sensor maybe ipr any help thanks guys

Re: 97 powerstroke low boost and power

could be boot or plenum leak mix up some sopy warte ans spray it around the boots and plenum you may have a loose or leaking boot or the plenums may have to be resealed with the gray goo. how is you fuel pressure and have you changed you filter latley? fule and air = boost so one or the other is laking.

uh a leak wont cause over speeding the turbo. you will loose boost(turbo speed).....

Up pipe leaks are common. Check then too.

Ok. Fuel pressure seems good. Did you check your UP-PIPES?
